Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information EaseBill ("we", "us") collects when you use the EaseBill website and Android app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. EaseBill is GST billing and accounting software for businesses.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
• Business records you enter: company details (name, address, GSTIN, PAN), customers and suppliers, items, invoices, payments, bank details, expenses, attachments and other accounting data.
• Security and usage data: sign-in times, IP address, browser / device type and a log of important actions (audit trail), used to keep accounts secure.
• Camera (optional): if you use barcode scanning, the camera image is processed on your device to read the code. We do not store or upload the camera images.
• Cookies and local storage: a session cookie keeps you signed in; your device stores display preferences such as light / dark theme. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use it

• To provide the service: create invoices, keep your books, produce reports and GST summaries.
• To send emails you ask for (sign-in codes, invoices, reminders to your customers) and service messages about your account or subscription.
• To protect accounts, prevent misuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your business records for advertising.

3. Who we share it with

• Service providers that run EaseBill for us: web hosting / database and email delivery. They process data only on our instructions.
• People you choose: users you invite to your company, and customers you send an invoice or statement link to.
• Authorities when the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your sign-in details are removed straight away. Accounting and tax records of a company may have to be kept for the period required by law (for GST, records generally have to be kept for 72 months); after that they are deleted. You can download a backup of your company before deleting.

5. Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, sign-in uses an emailed one-time code, accounts lock after repeated wrong passwords, and each company's data is kept separate.

6. Your choices and rights

• See and correct your details in the app (My account, Company profile).
• Export your data with Backup or the CSV / Excel exports.
• Delete your account at any time — see Delete your account.

7. Children

EaseBill is a business tool and is not meant for children under 18.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app for important changes.
